Medicare Supplement
Original Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance) cover many healthcare services and supplies, but not all. Medicare Supplement insurance plans assist in covering some of the healthcare costs not included in Original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
Medicare Part D
If you have Original Medicare (Part A and/or Part B), you can purchase a stand-alone Medicare Part D plan from a private health insurance company to obtain prescription drug coverage. You can choose from a variety of stand-alone plans, which differ in cost and coverage. You will pay a separate premium for the Part D plan.
